Question by coastiewife: question about scubadiving/dry suit rental?
my husband is an experienced master scuba diver that hasn’t been able to go out in years due to work, family and finances. For Fathers day I would love to suprise him with a scuba trip to the San Juan islands in washington state(we live in Wa). The only problem is that he doesn’t own a dry suit. hes 6’6 215lbs. We can’t afford a custome dry suit right now. So I’m wondering, seriously. Can he go diving in those cold waters with just his regular wet suit without dieing of hypothermia? he commented awhile back that he’d be ok if he went during the summer. is there any place in washington state we could find a drysuit rental for someone his size? hes never been able to go diving in the puget sound. i already plan on getting him a gift certificate from our local dive shop so that he can get . . . → Read More: question about scubadiving/dry suit rental?

So I’m trying to get that unique thrift store smell out of a suit coat that is dry clean only. It WAS dry cleaned, but that did not take care of the smell. Question by Don B: stretching gaskets on a dry suit?
gaskets are tight on my new dry suit. What is an acceptable way to stretch them
Best answer:
Answer by uwaterskyeI’m not sure whether you mean the seals at your wrists, neck, etc. Nor do you say what material they’re made from. If they’re made form latex, then all you need to do is cut the ends of them out and they should have a wider opening which will be less tight. With neoprene, you’d probably need to send the suit back to the manufacturer to get different seals put on. Your best bet would be to take the suit back to where you bought it and ask them to arrange for alterations to be made.

Skin Care Regimen for Acne-prone Skin
I have tried a lot of acne medications from Proactiv to pearl creams. Most of them worked for a few weeks or months but acne kept recurring once I got used to the medications. From a series of experiments and dermatologist’s advice, I tailored my own skin care regimen, and since then, I never looked back.

1. Cleanse. Wash face with a gentle cleanser. I use Cetaphil Antibacterial Soap. It cleanses well but doesn’t dry out my skin.
2. Oil Controlling Toner. I use Mario Badescu Special Cleansing Lotion C. It contains sulfur, an astringent that cleanses the skin of surface greasiness.
3. Oil-free Moisturizer. You can use any mosturizer you can find in drugstores that is oil-free or water-based.
4. Non-comedogenic Sunblock. You can use any brand that suits you. Though, I love VMV Armada Sunblock for the full-spectrum protection.
*I also use a multi-functional oil-free sunblock that has anti-aging properties and has a sheer tint. Murad Oil-free Sunblock Sheer . . . → Read More: Skin Care Regimen for Acne-prone Skin
