Where can I find plus size board shorts and rash guards?

Question by Mizz_Britz: Where can I find plus size board shorts and rash guards?
I’m going on vacation in about 3 weeks and I’m trying to find a nice swim suit, rash guards and board shorts. Finding the swim suit was easy but the board shorts and rash guards not so much.

A lot of the clothing stores that I shop at seem to think that if you’re bigger than a size 12, you’re not into surfing or any other type of water sport.

Can anyone tell me where to find board shorts and rash guards that come in plus sizes. Preferably something pretty or really cute!

Thanks!

Answer by Dianne JoyYa, most of hotline sizes that way.

I don’t have a rash guard….?

Question by Sara L: I don’t have a rash guard….?
and i might be learning how to surf soon. so i was wondering how much they usually are, or what i could wear instead??

Best answer:

Answer by krazyasianmonkiYou could get a rash guard at old navy or any sports store. They are around (just estimation) no more than $ 30 a rash guard. If I were you I would get a wet suit because they cost only about $ 20 more. The material would last longer and keep you warmer when you’re surfing. You could get them at Costco or Sam’s Club for about $ 30 if they are on sale. Hope this can help you and hope you have a good time surfing.

What are some good rash guards for jiu jitsu?

Question by : What are some good rash guards for jiu jitsu?
I am quite knowledgeable about them so you don’t have to explain what I should be looking for. What I do what to know is which ones you guys (and gals) like and what makes them better than others.
Side note: I won’t even consider any that aren’t anti-bacterial or don’t wick away moisture.
I was more looking for companies that make good rash guards . .

Best answer:

Answer by Alex JhonsonWell….you said it. Best rashguards are those anti-bacterial material composed and hydrorepellant in some areas.

I personally prefer the long sleeved ones, they keep the body warmed up after cardio (or warming up) so you don’t freeze again your muscles, making your muscles less injured or pulled.
If you’re too hot, just roll up the sleeves, you’re learning how to defend, don’t be a pussy.

Rash guards are all the same practically (just differ in size charts and graphics!), I bought . . . → Read More: What are some good rash guards for jiu jitsu?

son keeps getting rash from soccer shin guard?

Question by kjml2003: son keeps getting rash from soccer shin guard?
My 10 year old has this re-occuring rash on his legs from wearing shin guards. It goes away in the summer and then its back again fall & spring when he plays! He was treated once from the dr. with a cream. I think it was anti-fungal or bacterial, dont remember. I have cleaned the shin guards, put powder on under them before he plays. Now its spreading to other areas, still areas that are covered by the shin guards. He is good about showering after a game or practice so I dont really know what else to do. Is there something we should do to prep his leg before he wears them? A ointment that will help treat it? A special way to clean the shin guards so it kills bacteria or whatever it is that is causing this? Thanks!!!
Thanks! I dont think its a heat rash because it stays . . . → Read More: son keeps getting rash from soccer shin guard?

What do you wear underneath a rash top/guard?

Question by : What do you wear underneath a rash top/guard?
What do you wear underneath a rash top/guard?
I am going to this school trip to the beach and learn to surf somewhere in December and they suggested to wear rash tops. Today, I was in a rush and brought a Roxy rash top without trying on it with my mum. I just tried now at home and apparently its see through and you can see brown spots (you know what), my mum thought it was too tight but she wouldn’t know how it work. I don’t like to wear bras and I don’t own one, I don’t have a bikini and I won’t wear one ever. But if a bra is the only thing, I might get one…

This is the one I brought but in light turquoise and black and white stripe sleeve:
